Nymphaea Blue Beauty

Is it a show stopper, or a good sport is a question, that might depend upon the day. Chugs into bud early, can go berserk with blooms when it gets potted just so... set on a five inch pot to keep it anchored, when its roots scoot out of the pot the growth rate is rapid. Three to five blooms set against a stunning deep blue sky reflection puts it into the show stopper category most days mid to late Summer Alas, the Ageretum effect sneaks into full sun photo's and a strong magenta? violet tone sneaks into atttempts to catch what to the eye is a striking bright mid crystal blue tone. Attempts to colour correct such a difference between the optical affect and the mechanical image will lose the normal magenta tones on the stamen. Photographing when high cloud reduces the impact of ultra violet light, or compensating exposures using electronic flash make for an interesting challenge. I might set Blue Beauty on a pond which catches early morning light to see if the increased distance light travels through the atmosphere helps to reduce the effect of UV one of the days Regards, andy i93.photobucket.com/albums/l42/adavisus/ search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrpp Z50QQsassZadavisus
